Better Lifestyle / Community standards

A kinder place to share ideas.

Good conversations make practical information more useful. These guidelines help keep the comments relevant, welcoming and safe for everyone who visits Better Lifestyle.

You're welcome to ask thoughtful questions, share what worked for you, explain where an article could improve, or point readers to trustworthy information. Disagreement is welcome when it stays respectful.

What makes a helpful contribution?

01 / STAY RELEVANT

Add to the discussion.

Respond to the article, ask a genuine question or share a specific experience. Repeated generic praise or unrelated promotions do not help readers.

02 / BE RESPECTFUL

Disagree with care.

Challenge ideas rather than attacking people. No harassment, threats, hate, impersonation or attempts to expose private information.

03 / SHARE LINKS THOUGHTFULLY

Sources are welcome.

Relevant, credible links can add useful context. Explain why a resource matters, disclose any connection to it and avoid misleading, shortened or excessive promotional links.

04 / PROTECT PRIVACY

Keep personal details safe.

Do not share passwords, phone numbers, bank account details, sensitive medical information or another person's personal data in public comments.

What we don't publish

We may hold, decline or mark comments as spam when they are primarily designed to advertise, manipulate search rankings or send readers to unrelated websites. This includes repeated affiliate or referral promotions, link-only posts, automated generic messages, fraudulent opportunities and comments pretending to be independent reader experiences.

We also avoid publishing dangerous misinformation presented as individualized health or financial instructions. Educational disagreement is fine; unsupported guarantees and attempts to solicit personal information are not.

How moderation works

Comments may be reviewed before appearing, and not every submission is published. Where a genuine comment contains an irrelevant or unsafe promotional link, we may remove the link or request a revision while preserving the comment's intended meaning. We do not rewrite promotional spam into a fabricated reader endorsement.

We may also correct obvious formatting problems, hold content while reviewing it or remove material that violates these guidelines. If a substantive edit would change what someone intended to say, we would rather decline the comment than attribute a different opinion to its author. Publication is not an endorsement of a comment's claims.

How to add useful sources

  • Explain the claim the source supports instead of dropping a bare URL.
  • Prefer primary research, official public information or transparent, reputable explanations.
  • Disclose if you own, sell or earn a commission from what you link.
  • Check that the resource remains accessible and actually addresses the topic.
  • Do not paste personal information from private chats, emails or accounts.

Our Editorial & Advertising Standards explain how we approach research and commercial disclosures more broadly.

Have a correction or concern?

If you spot an error, unsafe claim, spam comment or broken link, tell us the article URL and what needs attention. Please don't send sensitive personal data through a general contact form.
