A good exchange begins with clarity.

This tool creates a planning draft on your device only. It does not send a request, match you with another person, log your details, or create a legally binding agreement. You decide what to share, and any actual exchange remains subject to consent, safety and applicable rules.

01 / Offer or request

Start with a low-risk, useful skill that you can describe honestly.

02 / Set a boundary

Choose how much time, whether online, and what is outside scope.

03 / Review and copy

Generate a readable draft for your own notes or our private community intake form.

Create your exchange outline

If you are asking for help only, write “I am requesting help”. Never include passwords or exact addresses.
Examples: no accounts or personal files, quiet venue, breaks, or a clear topic. Do not enter sensitive health details.

Before agreeing to help

Personal safety first: Only adults may take part in the Better Together pilot. Meet online or in a suitable public place, keep personal details private and refuse any request for money, account passwords, sensitive records or regulated/hazardous work. Either person can decline or stop at any time. The community team does not certify participants.
Why doesn’t the tool save my draft?

This first version intentionally avoids accounts and data collection. Your typed entries and generated outline stay in the current browser page, not in a Better Lifestyle database. Closing or refreshing may erase them; copy or print only if you want a record.

Does a direct swap avoid Norwegian tax?

Not necessarily. Agreed barter can be considered work performed for consideration depending on circumstances. Review Skatteetaten’s guidance and seek qualified advice for a specific arrangement. This tool offers no tax or legal determination.

Is the text a legally binding agreement?

No. The outline is a conversation aid, not a contract or verification of the other person’s identity, skills, insurance or rights. It can help reveal missing details before anyone agrees to participate.
