What can we help you with?

Read questions below or search for the feature you’re using. Answers link to the actual tool, relevant guide, or contact channel. We don’t offer emergency support, individual medical/legal/financial advice, or a guaranteed reply time.

Why don’t I see the Save or Mark Done buttons on Today?

The Today hub currently supports seven native, expandable life areas and 28 actions that work without an account or JavaScript. Browser-local Save, Pause, Mark Done and import/export are part of a plugin being tested for compatibility with WordPress and the existing Studio. Until that plugin is safely installed and verified, the unreliable controls stay hidden; you can optionally record goals in My Progress in Studio, which has its own consent-based storage. Nothing is automatically transferred or saved.

Where is my progress stored, and how do I protect or delete it?

Start with the new Your Data & Controls guide. It explains the difference between Studio’s optional device-local progress and the Today action examples, how to protect a backup before clearing browser storage, and why deleting data in your browser does not automatically delete records held by WordPress or a third-party service. No automatic cross-device Today/Studio sync is available.

How do I keep improving without maintaining a daily streak?

Use the new weekly rhythm: choose one small action, optionally record it in My Progress, then use the Weekly Reflection Journal to notice what helped. Nothing on Today demands daily completion, and the reflection prompts are available without an account.

How can I keep track of a Today action?

Choose an action and time on Today, then use its Open Studio to record this step link. In My Progress, review the suggested goal, copy it into the goal field if necessary, adjust the frequency, and explicitly agree to device-local saving before using Save goal. Existing Studio data is not changed merely by browsing or opening a link; there is no automatic cross-device sync.

Where should I begin if I only have a few minutes today?

Open Today: One Next Step. It starts with one small, generally useful action and provides six accessible script-free alternatives. An optional browser-local save and check-in pilot is being tested; those features are not required to use the page. Existing Studio data stays separate and is not silently migrated.

How can I plan a few dinners and combine everything into one shopping list?

Open the free Five-Day Dinner & Grocery Planner. Review five vegetarian-friendly sample dinners and a combined shopping list for two people. Tick items you have or purchase, or use eight additional dinner ideas and adjust the quantities yourself. It does not check ingredient allergens, dietary certification, prices or retailer stock, so verify those yourself. Your plan isn’t automatically saved to a Better Lifestyle account.

Where can I write a private weekly reflection without making an account?

Try the Weekly Reflection Journal. It asks six optional questions about small wins, obstacles, learning, connection, rest and a next step. Your answers are not automatically stored as a WordPress account or cloud record. If you want to keep them, choose Copy, Download .txt, or Print. Avoid entering sensitive records or another person’s private information.

How do I reflect on different parts of my life without creating an account?

Use the free 1% Life Check-In to give six everyday areas your own ratings, choose which one you want to improve, and create one manageable action. The average is only a mathematical summary of subjective ratings, not a clinically validated measure. This tool does not make a diagnosis or save its report to your Better Lifestyle profile.

Where can I draft a respectful boundary or difficult conversation?

The Respectful Conversation Planner can produce three editable starting points for saying no, asking for help or addressing a misunderstanding. It is not a persuasion guarantee and cannot replace safety or professional support. Avoid names or sensitive details in your draft.

How do I find out what all my subscriptions cost per year?

Open the free Subscription Audit. Enter your own amounts and billing frequency; the results show a monthly equivalent, estimated annual total, and optional items to review. The tool doesn’t connect to your bank, cancel subscriptions, or store your inputs in a site account. Don’t enter card numbers or sensitive financial details. Check each provider’s official cancellation rules before making changes.

Can I compare two decisions without letting AI make the choice for me?

Use the free Decision Compass to name two or three options, set your own importance weights, and rate how each option fits. The weighted comparison is a personal reflection tool, not a prediction or recommendation. It doesn’t account for every unknown, non-negotiable rule, or safety requirement; treat close scores with particular caution.

Where should I begin if I feel overwhelmed?

Start with Start Here. It helps you choose one practical direction. For a full view, use Explore Everything to filter resources. You do not need to complete a long questionnaire or register first.

Where are the free tools and courses?

The Better Lifestyle Studio includes interactive tools; Learning Paths and our 7-Day Habit Reset offer structured activities. Our Guides Library supports searching published articles.

Does Better Lifestyle have an app?

The current experience is a website with browser-based interactive tools. We do not claim that a separately installed Android or iPhone app is available. You can bookmark the website in your browser for easier access.

I cannot find an article. How do I search?

Open the Practical Guides Library to search published articles. The resource directory filters primary site sections, not every article ever written.

Are my tool entries saved to a cloud account?

Different tools behave differently. The new Skill Swap Planner and Community Host Toolkit generate drafts only in the open browser page; they do not sync to a Better Lifestyle account. The Studio’s optional progress tools can use on-device browser storage after consent. Always check the specific tool’s notice.

Why did I lose my saved goals or check-ins?

Browser-local storage may disappear when you clear website data, use private/incognito mode, change browsers or devices, or disable storage. We cannot restore data that was never uploaded to a server. Where a tool offers a backup/export control, download a copy before clearing storage.

Can I transfer my progress to another device?

Some tools include export/import options for locally stored data, but not all do. The Skill Swap Planner does not sync across devices: copy or print your outline if you want to keep it. Never upload someone else’s private files or share sensitive records.

A button or interactive filter doesn’t work. What should I try?

Refresh once, ensure JavaScript is enabled, and test in an updated browser. Disable extensions temporarily only if you are comfortable doing so. If the issue persists, use Contact with the page URL, browser type and what you clicked. Do not include passwords, cookies, tokens or financial information.

How do I offer a skill or ask for help?

Visit Better Together, read the safety guide, and use its private interest form. Use a clear subject such as Community offer or Community request. The team may review the request; no match or reply is guaranteed.

Can I contact or message another member directly?

Not yet. The skill-exchange community is an early moderated pilot. It does not have public accounts, in-app messaging or automatic member matching. Please do not post phone numbers, addresses or identifying details in article comments.

Is every exchange free, legal and tax-exempt?

There is no Better Lifestyle payment feature in this pilot. However, exchanging work or services without cash does not automatically exempt participants from tax or labor requirements. The specific activity and jurisdiction matter. See Skatteetaten for Norwegian tax guidance.

How do I report an unsafe exchange request?

Stop the conversation. Read Community Safety & Reporting and contact the website team using Community safety concern as the subject. Do not put sensitive evidence in public comments. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Does Better Lifestyle verify or insure participants?

No. We do not currently claim identity checks, background screening, professional competence verification, insurance or guarantees of outcomes. That is why we limit the pilot to small, low-risk activities and do not run instant matching.

Where can I listen to the recommended podcasts?

Open Watch & Listen. Curated recommendations link to original publishers or creators. Availability, captions, subscriptions, prices and permissions depend on those providers; Better Lifestyle does not rehost their full recordings.

Can I read books or download audiobooks free here?

Books & Beyond contains independent recommendations and original notes. External authors or publishers set purchase and borrowing options. We do not claim to provide unauthorized downloads or complete third-party books.

Are recommended resources sponsored or affiliate links?

Editorial recommendations should not be presented as sponsored or affiliated without a real relationship and appropriate disclosure. Read Editorial & Advertising Standards and Trust & Transparency for details. Ads shown by third parties are not endorsements of their claims.

How can I contact the team about personal data?

Use the Contact page with the subject Privacy inquiry and consult our Privacy Policy. Avoid putting identity documents, account credentials, health details or private information in a routine contact form.

How accessible is the website?

We aim for readable text, keyboard-accessible links and reduced-motion-friendly interactive components. Some page elements or advertising overlays may still cause issues. Report the exact page and keyboard/screen-reader difficulty through Contact so it can be investigated. We cannot claim full accessibility certification.

Can I request a correction or suggest a new feature?

Yes. Use Contact with a subject such as Correction, Feature request or Accessibility issue. Include the page URL, what you expected, and what happened. We review messages but do not promise a fixed response time.
